We started Currant Creek Fly Company for one reason, we couldn’t find the content online that we needed. Plain and simple, we figured if it wasn’t out there we would bring it to you. Too often a lot of the “bigger” rivers in the world get all of the love. In Utah that happens to be the Provo, Weber, and Green, for the most part. These are Utah’s big three, and two of them, the Provo and Green, bring fly-fisherman from all over the country. But the smaller rivers don’t get as much love and focus, getting decent information for them online can be like pulling teeth.
Yes, there was the blog here or there that mentioned that they had gone to one of these rivers and had a great time. They all wet the whistle and made it exciting to think about fishing those creeks and streams, but where was the useful information? Where was the fly-fishing writeups that was more detailed in the approach: What to expect fishing? Possible hatches and flies to use to match those hatches? Etc? There isn’t much of that and we wanted to be another voice for those small streams.
Sometimes a person needs to take a break from things and remember why they do them. We love blogging and we love the comments that we get from all of you, our faithful readers. Thank you so much! As always, Good Luck and Guid Luck!
